ISRM Mediterranean Chapter proudly attends the Security Project and Fire & Safety Forum
On Friday, February 27th, 2026, the 13th Security Project and 2nd Fire & Safety Forum took place in Athens, Greece, bringing together more than 800 professionals from across the security, fire protection and safety sectors along with government officials, ministers, academics and local authorities.
Recognised as the leading security, risk and safety event in Greece and the wider region, Security Project 2026 (www.securityproject.gr) delivered a dynamic and forward-looking programme under the central theme “Future Smart, Human Safe.” The event successfully combined technological innovation with strategic dialogue, reinforcing the growing maturity of the regional security ecosystem.
The ISRM participated as an Honorary Sponsor, with a presence that was both visible and strategically impactful throughout the day.
Christina Alexandropoulou, Co-Chair of the ISRM Mediterranean Chapter, was invited as a Guest Speaker in the inaugural panel discussion. In her intervention, she addressed the critical transition from compliance-driven security frameworks to strategic resilience models embedded at board level, emphasising governance, leadership accountability and the human dimension as the foundation of sustainable security.
The Conference featured three parallel high-level forums:
- Security Managers Forum – Leadership & Innovation in Security
- Security Installers Forum – Compliance & Professional Development
- 2nd Fire & Safety Forum – Workplace Protection & Fire Resilience
The strong attendance, vibrant exhibition area and high-level discussions confirmed the event’s growing influence and its expanding regional footprint.
The ISRM’s participation further strengthened its visibility in Greece and across the Mediterranean, while opening new avenues for collaboration — including ongoing discussions with CERIDES Cyprus toward a future in-person ISRM event in the region.
Security Project 2026 was not simply an event — it was a statement of direction.
The ISRM’s presence affirmed its role as a catalyst for strategic risk thinking, governance-driven resilience and international collaboration.
As the security landscape continues to evolve, the ISRM remains committed to shaping conversations that move beyond protection — toward preparedness, leadership and long-term resilience.
