ISRM Appoints Veda T. Woods as Chair of Women in Strategic Risk

The Institute of Strategic Risk Management is pleased to announce the appointment of Veda T. Woods, CISM, C|CISO F.ISRM, as Chair of Women in Strategic Risk.

Women in Strategic Risk brings together women leaders, practitioners, researchers, executives and emerging voices working across today’s complex risk landscape.

At a time of geopolitical uncertainty, cyber disruption, emerging technology, infrastructure fragility, institutional trust challenges and cascading societal impacts, strategic risk leadership requires broader perspectives and stronger global connection.

Under Veda’s leadership, WiSR will enter its next phase of development as a global forum for women shaping how organizations, institutions, and communities understand risk, govern uncertainty and prepare for disruption.

As part of this next phase, ISRM will invite expressions of interest for the WiSR Global Advisory Council. The Council will help guide WiSR’s priorities, support regional and sector engagement, shape programming and strengthen the visibility of women working across strategic risk disciplines.

Expressions of interest are welcome from women working in strategic risk, resilience, crisis management, cybersecurity, governance, public safety, infrastructure, geopolitics, humanitarian response, emergency management, business continuity, security and related fields.

Further details on the WiSR Global Advisory Council and upcoming programming will be shared soon.
