Global Risk Forum 433 & 434 – Strategic Implications of Healthy Ageing Populations

This week’s Global Risk Forum Special Edition looks at a topic that is becoming increasingly important for governments, businesses and societies: ageing populations, and what this means for risk, resilience and long-term planning.

We will have a conversation on a new ISRM Briefing Paper:

“Strategic Implications of Healthy Ageing Population Dynamics” by William Domanski, F.ISRM, and Paul Vorbach, F.ISRM, ISRM ANZ Chapter Vice-President

Paul and William will join us this Friday to walk through the paper and take part in the discussion.

The briefing highlights a range of global challenges, including pressure on health and care systems, workforce shortages, rising dementia cases, digital exclusion, social isolation and long-term fiscal strain. It also considers climate-related risks affecting older populations.

At the same time, it points to opportunities — particularly the growing Silver Economy and the value of investing in healthier ageing across society.

Together we will explore what this means in practice for policy, systems thinking and cross-sector collaboration.

Join us this Thursday and Friday for GRF 433 and 434, as we explore these issues together and share different perspectives in an open conversation.
