The ISRM UK Hub – London Chapter recently brought members and guests together for a memorable evening at St Paul’s Cathedral, combining history, perspective and community in one of London’s most iconic settings.
The evening began with Choral Evensong, followed by a private guided tour of the Cathedral. Guests explored its history, architecture and significance before taking on the 528 steps to the Golden Gallery.
The climb was well worth it.
As the sun began to set, the group was rewarded with spectacular views across the London skyline, a remarkable setting for an evening centred on connection and shared experience.
What made the evening particularly special, however, was the community itself.
Bringing people together outside the usual conference or meeting environment created space for different conversations, new connections and the opportunity to get to know one another beyond professional titles and organisations.
Following the tour, the evening continued at The Happenstance, where guests came together for drinks and informal networking.
Events like this are an important part of what the ISRM is building: opportunities not only to learn and exchange ideas, but to strengthen relationships and create a more connected professional community.
A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening such a success.
We are also very grateful to Scott Hamer, Russ Stewart, Shayan Khan and the team at St Paul’s Cathedral for hosting us and delivering such an engaging private tour.
There is much more ahead from the ISRM UK Hub and London Chapter, with further events, professional development and opportunities to connect, including a major milestone on 9 February 2027, when the Institute will host its first-ever ISRM Global Conference and Networking Reception in London.
We look forward to welcoming the community to many more events over the coming months.
After 528 steps above London, this one may be difficult to beat.
