The ISRM Australia and New Zealand Chapter, together with AcademyGlobal (AG), invites you to an online session with Marc Ablong PSM, Managing Partner at Geostrategic Risk Partners.
As geopolitical tensions, climate pressures, cyber threats and supply chain disruptions increasingly overlap, traditional risk models struggle to capture the scale and interconnected nature of today’s challenges. The concept of “polycrisis” highlights how these risks compound, demanding new approaches to leadership, foresight and organisational resilience.
Marc Ablong will draw on more than 30 years of senior experience in national security and strategic risk — including roles as Deputy Secretary in the Australian Department of Home Affairs and the Department of Defence — to explain how the risk landscape is shifting and what organisations can do to adapt. He will discuss the limits of conventional frameworks, share practical ways to build adaptive capabilities and offer insights on managing systemic risks in a complex world.
The session will be moderated by Genevieve Butler, committee member of the ISRM NSW/ACT Chapter.
This session is open to risk leaders, executives and practitioners looking to strengthen organisational resilience in uncertain times.
