Rob Curry, F.ISRM, has stepped down as Chair of the ISRM Canada Chapter, and we want to thank him from the bottom of our hearts for everything he has contributed.
Under Rob’s leadership, Canada became one of the most active and respected chapters in the Institute of Strategic Risk Management. Behind that success were his time, energy and genuine care for the community. Rob, thank you for all you’ve given to the chapter. You’ve helped build something strong, and you’ll always be part of the ISRM family.
We’re pleased to welcome Musaab Fagiri, F.ISRM, as the new Chair. Musaab is a security, risk and emergency management professional with experience across higher education, corporate security and diplomatic protection, both in Canada and internationally. He is a Fellow of ISRM and a Chartered Fellow of the Institute of Presilience (ChFInstP), holds a master’s degree in Security and Risk Management, and has earned the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) designation. He also contributes to national and international standards work in security and resilience.
Many of you will already know Musaab as the host of ISRM Voices, where he brings practitioners together to share experiences and discuss the realities of their work. As Chair, he wants to make the chapter a valuable and welcoming space for its members — a place to exchange ideas, learn across disciplines and build lasting professional relationships.
We look forward to seeing the Canada Chapter continue to grow under Musaab’s leadership, building on the strong foundations Rob has helped establish. Please join us in thanking Rob for his contribution and welcoming Musaab into the role.
