We’re pleased to share that the ISRM plans to establish a presence in Jakarta, Indonesia which will include the opening of an office and the appointment of an official Asia-Pacific representative.
We are at an important stage in strengthening our activities across the region, where we already have active chapters in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines and Singapore. Together, they form a strong and growing network for collaboration, knowledge exchange and professional development in risk and resilience.
The decision to establish a base in Jakarta follows the October 2024 visit of ISRM Executive Director Dr David Rubens, during which relationships were developed with key stakeholders across the region – including the British Embassy, British Council, academic institutions, government agencies and major global corporations.
Special thanks to Ian Betts, President of the ISRM APAC Hub and Managing Partner at Castle Asia, for his instrumental role in helping make this possible.
We will be posting regular updates on our activities in the region, but please feel free to let us know if there is anything of specific interest, anything you would like to be involved with or anything that we can be of support with for your own activities in the region.
