ISRM is delighted to announce the ISRM Ukraine Chapter, expanding its global network of practitioners, academics and professionals working in strategic risk and resilience.
The Chapter will provide a space for dialogue, shared learning and collaboration across humanitarian, security, governmental, academic and private-sector communities, while supporting the exchange of practical experience and approaches to building resilience in complex and evolving operational contexts.
It brings together professionals committed to advancing standards in strategic risk management, strengthening knowledge exchange and building stronger connections between academia and practice, alongside supporting the development of capability within Ukraine.
CHAPTER LEADERSHIP
Ian Spence – Ukraine Chapter Chair
Ian Spence is a strategic risk and resilience leader with over 20 years of experience working in conflict, crisis and high-risk environments. His career includes service with the British Army and senior roles across Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe. He is currently Country Director for INSO Ukraine, where he supports humanitarian organisations operating in complex settings. His work focuses on strategic risk management, resilience and crisis leadership.
Andrii Lukashenko, CSMP – Ukraine Chapter Vice-Chair
Andrii Lukashenko is a security and risk management executive with over 30 years of experience across military, diplomatic, international organisation and private-sector environments. He is Founder and Deputy Director of SmartRiskSolutions Ukraine, advising organisations on security risk, crisis preparedness and resilience in high-risk contexts. He previously served with the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine and the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and he is a Certified Security Management Professional (CSMP).
ADVISORY GROUP AND STRUCTURE
The Chair and Vice-Chair form the core leadership of the Chapter’s Advisory Group. Alongside them, a broader Advisory Group of up to 25 members brings together expertise from the security, humanitarian, academic, government, business, technology and civil society sectors. This group will help ensure diverse perspectives, provide strategic guidance and support the Chapter’s work and engagement within Ukraine’s risk and resilience community.
