Guy Collyer OBE, F.ISRM will take on the role of Chief Operations Officer (COO) at ISRM from 1st January 2026.
Guy has been part of the ISRM UK management team for the past year, contributing to a range of activities, including expanding the organisation’s presence at conferences.
He brings decades of experience in security, crisis management, and chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) protection. Guy is the Founder of QISS Global, an international nonprofit focused on the safety and security of chemical and biological materials. He also provides problem-solving and change management support and consults for the United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) on projects in Eastern Europe related to CBRN incidents, response and prosecution.
Guy spent 30 years in the UK Police Service, including London and Special Branch, and was seconded after 9/11 to the National Counter Terrorism Security Office and the Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure. He also led the Police Crime Prevention Academy and held senior international roles with INTERPOL, contributing to biosecurity and CBRN programs delivered worldwide.
He has been recognised with several honours, including being appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) and receiving the Afghanistan National Police Medal of Honour.
In his new role, Guy will oversee ISRM’s operational strategy and initiatives. We welcome him to this position and look forward to working with him as he helps guide ISRM forward through its next stage of growth and development.
