Lord Mayor of Dublin, Councillor Ray McAdam Awarded First-Ever Honorary Fellowship by ISRM Ireland

Yesterday was a proud day for the ISRM Ireland Chapter as Garry Bergin and Paul Kellett had the privilege of joining the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Councillor Ray McAdam, at the Mansion House to mark a very special first for the The Institute of Strategic Risk Management.

We were honoured to confer the inaugural Honorary Fellowship of the ISRM on Councillor McAdam, a recognition of his long-standing engagement with, and advocacy for, the practice of strategic risk management in Ireland.

The Lord Mayor has consistently opened doors for our community, encouraging dialogue between practitioners, policymakers, and academics, and championing the importance of education, collaboration, and thoughtful leadership in how we understand and manage risk.

His generous support in hosting our recent event at the Mansion House created a fantastic setting for security and risk professionals to connect, share experience, and strengthen the networks that underpin resilience.

Our sincere thanks to Councillor McAdam for his ongoing partnership and encouragement. Moments like this capture what the ISRM Ireland Chapter is striving to build: a connected, learning-focused community working together for a safer and more resilient society.
