The Paradox of Control – Why Mega Projects Fail
On Tuesday, 29th July 2025, the Institute of Strategic Risk Management (ISRM) ANZ, in partnership with AcademyGlobal (AG), will host a webinar exploring the paradox of control in large-scale infrastructure projects.
Titled ‘The Paradox of Control – Why Mega Projects Fail’, the session will be led by Dr Mike Rollo F.ISRM, Honorary Professor at University College London and one of Australia’s leading experts in infrastructure and risk. Drawing on decades of experience managing billion-dollar projects worldwide, Dr Rollo will explore how excessive control measures can, paradoxically, lead to project failure.
The session will be moderated by Francesca Dickson F.ISRM, an experienced strategic advisor and risk professional, who will guide the discussion and facilitate audience engagement.
