Gaza Ceasefire Agreement: A Step Towards Peace and Humanitarian Aid
Israel and Hamas have agreed to a temporary ceasefire in Gaza, allowing for the release of 50 hostages held by Hamas in exchange for 150 Palestinians in Israeli prisons. This four-day truce, termed "a humanitarian pause", will enable the exchange of 50 women and children under 19 for 150 Palestinian women and teenagers. The ceasefire may extend depending on the release rate of the hostages. Israel has agreed to cease air traffic over Gaza during the truce.
