The Satish Dhawan Memorial Scholarship Programme

We are delighted to announce the launch of an ISRM initiative – the Satish Dhawan Memorial Scholarship programme (India) and the Emirates Group Security Scholarship programme (UAE).

Both programmes offer a fully funded 2-year distance learning Level 6 / Level 7 (Masters equivalent) Diploma programme for ten candidates under the age of 35.

Satish Dhawan was one of the leading scientists / educators in India in the 20th century. Chairman of the India Space Commission (1972-2002), President of the Indian Academy of Science, 1977-79 and a personal friend when I was a young traveller in India 1982-’84. It is an honour and a privilege to be able to launch this programme in his name.

Our thanks to Emirates Group Security, who are sponsoring the UAE Scholarship programme. Their continued support of the global security and risk management community in these challenging times is an example of why they are the world-leading organisation they are.

Applications are now open, successful candidates will be announced at the end of November and the programme will start from January 2021.
