So, how was 2020 for you?!
Who would have thought in January that such a simple question could have such an unbelievable response!
Just like everyone else in the world, we have had to make a radical adjustment to how we do business. One of the changes has been the movement from classroom based programmes delivered around the world, to on-line programmes delivered as webinars.
Thanks to the amazing support of Emirates Group Security right at the start of the lockdown, we developed a business model that gave access to the training on a free to attend basis, and a small fee for those wanting to go for full qualification and certification. We are delighted to say that we have now over 7,000 people register for those programmes.
Even after EGS ended their formal support of the programme, we have continued the free to attend model as we felt that was something tangible we could do to support the global security, risk and crisis management community at a time when they were going through massive upheavals, and there was a genuine feeling of fear, anxiety and uncertainty across multiple security sectors.
We are now having to review how sustainable that is, and have tried to find a formula that would allow us to keep the free to attend model if possible, but also allow us to generate enough revenue to maintain the programme.
From January 2021, we will be maintaining all of our Level 4 and Level 5 courses as free to attend.
Certification fees will be rising slightly to £160 + VAT for L4, £200 + VAT for L5 courses – but there will be a 25% discount for all ISRM members.
Given that the programmes have become recognised around the world as amongst the leading qualifications in their sectors, we believe that this is still an affordable way for security and risk management professionals to invest in their future by gaining a globally recognised professional accreditation.
We hope that this will create a balance between supporting the global security and risk management community, and creating a sustainable business model that will allow us to continue to offer these programmes on a free to attend basis into the future.
We ask for support from everyone who has been part of the training programmes so far, or who knows anyone who could be interested in attending.
But…. We need your support!
Please send your people on the free to attend courses!
There is absolutely no pressure on anyone to take out ISRM membership or to go for certification.
All participants receive the full range of information, including recordings, presentations, course material, access to academic papers, etc.
These are tough times for us all. It is exactly at times like these that the ability to do something that helps you regain a feeling of control, that is an investment in your own personal and professional development, and which you know helps you to prepare for future opportunities that will undoubtedly come, can be the difference between self-belief and despair.
Deltar Training and the ISRM are committed to supporting this industry across its multiple sectors, and the very real community that it is at the centre of it.
Our offering of free to attend training is our small part to make that happen.
